Brandon is an experienced clinical psychologist and board-approved supervisor trained in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of complex and severe mental health conditions. His clinical experience spans government, private and forensic settings and includes depression, stress, anxiety, ADHD, trauma and PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), schizophrenia, psychosis, suicidal and homicidal ideation and behaviours, self-harm, sexualised behaviours, addictions (including drug, alcohol, gambling, internet and pornography), tics, eating disorders (including binge-eating disorder, anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa), impulse-control difficulties, conduct and oppositional difficulties, emotional dysregulation and personality disorders (including borderline, antisocial and narcissistic personality disorders). He is LGBTIQA+ and neurodiversity-affirming and his practice is trauma and culturally informed.

Brandon prides himself on ethical, evidence-based practice. He collaborates with clients and their treatment teams to identify therapeutic goals and tailor treatment accordingly. He is psychodynamically oriented and considers difficulties in the present to be meaningfully connected to past experiences. He has also trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused therapy (SBT), family-based therapy (FBT; Maudsley Family-Based Treatment for anorexia nervosa), motivational interviewing and compassion-focused therapy. His therapeutic style is warm and non-judgemental.

In 2023, Brandon was a finalist in the NSW Mental Health Matters Awards and was recognised as an NSW Health Rising Star for the development of “My Body, My Narrative”, an eating disorder prevention programme for adolescents considered at risk of developing an eating disorder.

Outside of work, Brandon enjoys hiking, tennis, live music and exploring our beautiful country.
